About Hydrological
Hydrological is a discovery portal for the data that hydrological studies are built on: elevation, land use, evapotranspiration, river flow, water management, agriculture, climate, soils, reservoirs and observations.
Links to the source
Hydrological indexes data and links to original providers. It does not host or mirror the data. Every file you download comes from the agency, university or programme that produced it, under its licence, in its latest version. The portal's job is to tell you which dataset fits, what its terms are, and which files cover your region.
Selection
The catalogue favours datasets that are widely used in hydrological modelling and water resources work, openly available (with at most a free registration), documented by their provider, and citable. Each entry records its resolution, time span, coverage, formats, licence, citation and the ways to get it.
Accuracy
Dataset facts come from the providers' own documentation, and every link in the catalogue is checked by a script before release. Providers move pages and release new versions, so the provider's page is the authority. If something here is out of date, send a correction through the suggestion form.

Map layers and base maps are credited on the docs page. Dataset credits and citations are on each dataset's page.
